wbs-Retro is quite simply a labor of love. Want to know a bit more? Read on.

• I discovered the original WBS in early 1996 and was a devoted user up until the day it shuttered
  • I almost exclusively used the role playing rooms
  • I helped open two different rooms on the site
• As a direct result of WBS's closure several new chat sites, mainly focusing on role playing, came online
• One of those sites was my own - RPC (RoleplayChat)
• I closed RPC for a myriad of reasons in 2003
• In 2011 I reworked the old code and launched wbs-Retro v1
• Here we are now in 2024 and I started from scratch, completely rewrote everything and launched wbs-Retro v2
• Why? Nostalgia mainly. I really miss the old internet and especially WBS; So even though those days are gone I still want to provide a place for like-minded folks to have a little fun and relax
• No copyright or trademark laws are being broken - All of the WBS marks were abandoned long ago and every line of code that operates wbs-Retro was written by me from scratch
• This will never be a huge or heavily used site and that's okay! I just want it to exist and provide a place for internet fossils like me to slip back in time
